See HERS Ratings below. We work with builders, architects, and other contractors to certify NEW HOMES to build energy-efficient structures to modern building codes and energy code. New homes showing 15% improvements over 2004 IECC can earn an energy star label and will be listed on the EPA's website.

They can also help you take advantage of Federal tax credits for energy efficiency improvements.

 

HERS stands for Home Energy Rating Systems

Standard in every EDGE Energy Rating is a HERS reporting page. This specific page is required to qualify for an energy efficient mortgage and will be given to the lender during your loan application.
  1. A numerical score from 1 to 100
  2. A one to five star-plus rating
  3. Recommended cost-effective energy upgrades.
  4. Estimates of the cost, annual savings, and useful life of upgrades.
  5. Improved Rating Score after the installation of recommended upgrades.
  6. Estimated annual total energy cost for the existing home before and after upgrades.
